Day 01: Accra

Arrive Kotoka Airport. Transfer to hotel. Day free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Accra City Tour

After breakfast depart hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. This 128 years old city has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture

Day 03/04: Kakum - Cape Coast Castle

Early morning departure for a drive through the historic Denkyira Kingdom to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa´s surviving tropical rain forests. Extending over 360sq km, Kakum is the home to over 40 large mammals and 400 bird species as well as many species of butterflies, flora and fauna.

Day 05: Cape Coast - Kakum Park

Day 06: Kumasi City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, check out and depart for a drive through the forest zone to Kumasi, the seat of the Ashanti Empire to explore the legends of the famous Ashantis, whose legacies are still evident today. After lunch, visit Manhyia Palace Museum, to obtain firsthand information on the legacies of the Ashanti kingdom. A regal history that dates back to 1700 is told with relics and artifacts.

Day 07: Ashanti Craft Villages

This day is devoted to visiting the three famous craft villages in Ashanti – Ahwiaa, the wood carvers´ village, Ntonso, the home of Adinkra and Bonw Kente weaving village. You will have the opportunity to see how African crafts are made and to buy directly from the artisans who make them.

Day 08/09: Depart from Kumasi to Mole

After breakfast check out of your hotel and embark on a drive further north through Techiman to Damongo. After your lunch, visit Mole National Park to embark on an afternoon trek to view West Africa’s big game: elephants, antelopes, water bucks, warthogs baboons, monkeys and more. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Mole.

Day 10/11: Damongo and Larabanga

Embark on an early morning trek to view the rest of West Africa’s big game that were not viewed the previous day: Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, visit the ancient villages of Damongo and Larabanga. Witness the traditional way of life of these rural communities. See the historic mosque and mystic stone situated in Larabanga. Return to Mole National Park. After lunch, spend the rest of the afternoon either relaxing at the pool or further viewing some friendly baboons who may come over to visit. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Mole.
